Being YOUnique

Sometimes being that hilarious, beautiful, one-of-a-kind "it girl" isn't all it's cracked up to be. Actually that's true majority of the time. You would think I would have understood that before I lived on earth for 21 years, but apparently the fates intended it to take that long.  Many heart aches later I discovered that being awesome doesn't actually have to involve any of those things I mentioned at the beginning.  Being awesome comes from inside of you and from actually having confidence to experience your own personality. Models and movie stars are cool, but they already exist! Without you being yourself, humanity is totally jipped of a personality that could have done anything from changing the world to helping a stranger feel a bit of happiness.  Whatever you have to bring to the table, today is the time to bring it! I'm a firm believer that everyone came into the world with different talents and I for one, really want to see what you're capable of.

This is me and my boyfriend Payson. He's great and helps me truly embrace my strange love of America. I don't know what it is, but my patriotism can't be tamed. Sometimes I think it's easy for us to let our unique interests stay hidden, but I can promise it's way more fun to let them show! This was easily one of the best days I've ever had.

There's really nothing that should stop you from having fun. I may be an adult, but I plan on riding the carousel at the zoo until I die. I love it! And I love riding on the Panda, which is one of my favorite animals.  It's really the simple things in life that make me the happiest. Life is too short to pass up any of these opportunities! So go ahead, ride the carousel! Do something out of the ordinary that you know will make you very happy.

Feeling comfortable enough to be yourself is honestly really hard sometimes. To be able to gain my own courage sometimes I need to hear about the triumphs of everyone else.
